We currently provide the following services and activities. Click on the appropriate service or activity for further information.
Family Social Activities: A range of free activities which encourage families to socialise and take a break from their problems.
Activities/meetings for parents: The meetings and activities for parents provide a listening ear, the opportunity to share coping strategies and experiences, signposting to appropriate services, speakers/training on specific issues and free social activities.
Meetings for parents are held monthly and currently alternate between Preston, Leyland, Blackburn, Accrington and Burnley. If you would like to attend a meeting but are apprehensive about coming on your own or require transport please contact us and we will try and arrange for someone to bring you.
Resource library: We have a variety of books on a wide range of mental health issues which members can borrow.
Campaigning and influencing: Members have been involved in a variety of events and consultations which will improve the outcomes for children and young people with mental health problems. This has included the training of professionals, highlighting problems experienced by members with statutory bodies and involvement in local consultation events and national campaigns.
